For those unfamiliar with the mechanics of the leading basketball game, Virtual Currency (VC) is a vital part of NBA 2K titles, including NBA 2K22.

Essentially, it is a mandatory tool that gives players the best chance to succeed in two of the game's more popular game modes: MyCareer and MyTeam.

In MyCareer, VC is needed to upgrade a player's attributes to a decent overall rating, which is 80 or above. Without using VC, you'll find it very hard to earn badges or compete in MyCareer altogether.

VC is just as important for users wanting to find success in MyTeam. The currency is required to buy packs or bid for decent players, both of which contribute to creating a competitive squad.

There are many methods to earn VC in NBA 2K22, but not all strategies are efficient or easy. As a result, here is a look at five of the easiest methods to earn VC fast in the game. If done consistently and effectively, you can build up VC quickly in the game. Further down, you can find five other ways to maximise your VC earning potential.

Grab the quick and easy VC in the NBA 2K22 App

The NBA 2K app is one of the easiest ways to earn free VC in the game. With this app, you can get VC just by logging on daily. At the same time, you can earn more by playing the mini-games within the app.

Essentially, you can quickly earn VC at the convenience of your phone, wherever you can get an internet connection.

This process takes around five to 15 minutes per day and doesn't even require you to turn-on your gaming console or computer. On a good day, you can earn an extra 500 to 600 VC!

Like 2K20 and 2K21, using the NBA 2K22 App (available on iOS and Android) is one of the must-know tips for beginners or any players looking for an easy way to earn VC fast without actually playing the game.

Answer the questions on 2KTV to get VC

2KTV is another easy and efficient way to earn VC in NBA 2K22.

Often overlooked, this method of earning VC fast is one of the most effortless, and you don't have to play the game. All you have to do is answer questions that appear on each episode of 2KTV.

In the episodes, there are trivia questions that allow you to earn an extra 200 VC for every correct answer: there are also survey questions that reward you just for answering.

The episodes aren't long, usually around 15 minutes each, with the questions appearing as your game is loading. So, it's a simple way to make use of your waiting time.

For those that want to maximize their earning potential through 2KTV, you could find the answers online beforehand and easily come out of each episode with an extra 1000 to 2000 VC.

Like the app, this one of the easiest methods to earn VC without actually playing the game.

Play the Daily Rewards for easy VC

Moving on, in MyCareer mode, the neighborhood has some of the easiest and least time-consuming ways to earn VC fast. The Daily Rewards is one such method, which reward you with free VC.

On the map, you'll be able to see the statue of your affiliation. If you go to this statue and select to "Claim Daily Reward," you could get yourself some free VC.

Test your basketball knowledge to win VC in the Daily Pick'em

Daily Pick'em is another feature that is often neglected in the neighborhood. Also located in Jeff's 2K Arcade, this is another effortless method that you can use to fatten your 2K VC wallet.

During the NBA season, you will have the opportunity to pick the winners of every real-life NBA game being played that day, with each correct choice winning you VC.

On busy nights when ten to twelve games take place, you can come out with close 1000 VC if you get your picks right. Making picks can be done in less than five minutes, and doing this consistently really adds up.

This is one of the easiest ways to earn VC quickly in NBA 2K22 simply because you have a 50-50 chance of guessing the answer right for each matchup.

Play MyCareer games for stacks of VC

Finally, playing MyCareer games is still one of the fastest ways to earn VC in NBA 2K22.

Every MyCareer game gives you a guaranteed salary, and if you play well, the bonuses and rewards are much more lucrative than in the other game modes in NBA 2K22.

Sponsorships are one of the biggest perks in MyCareer. As your player improves and progresses in their NBA career, they will unlock sponsorship deals that reward in-game incentives and a place at off-court events.

Once the deals kick-in, everything is automated; the more you play, the more you'll earn.

As your player reaches the All-Star level in the MyCareer, it won't be hard to come out of each game with at least 1000 VC, which is a very good exchange for about half an hour of gaming.

Overall, MyCareer games can be a bit dry compared to other game modes, but the payouts and rewards are worth the grind and will save you a lot of time in the long run.

While there are many other ways to earn the critical currency in the game, using these methods is the easiest and fastest way to get VC in NBA 2K22.

More ways to get lots of VC in NBA 2K22

Along with the five easiest methods for earning VC in NBA 2K22 listed above, it doesn't hurt to earn more VC through other avenues.

In the following sections, we will take a look at a bunch of other methods that you can use to earn VC in NBA 2K22 to maximize your earning potential.

Play Now Online for easy VC

Outside of MyCareer, the "Play Now Online" mode is the most straightforward avenue for earning VC in NBA 2K22.

Essentially, all you have to do is hop online, choose a team, and play against someone to get your hands on more VC.

Every time you play, you get a guaranteed 400 VC for completing the game, as well as a bonus 150 VC for winning.

Your ranking starts at the freshman level, but if you win enough games, you will earn bonus VC for advancing and will unlock new tiers that feature historic teams.

One of the more satisfying pursuits of Play Now Online is the nostalgic factor. This game mode allows you to play as historic teams like the '90s Bulls or the 2000s Lakers.

Depending on your skillset, you could quickly rack up VC fast, especially if you can beat your opponents by large scorelines as many foes may elect to quit rather than play the entire game.

Take advantage of the Daily Challenge to get VC

In MyCareer, the Daily Challenge is another VC earning method that's not taken advantage of enough.

Found under "The Neighbourhood" tab, a new challenge appears every day; it rewards you with around 1,000 to 5,000 VC for completing a task by the end of the 24-hour window.

Depending on the task and the strength of your player, some challenges can be finished with ease. For example, if the goal is to get ten rebounds and ten blocks, if you use a center, you should be able to finish the challenge within a few games.

On some days, the challenges are even more user-friendly: one of them simply asks you to play five games in a particular mode to obtain the reward.

All in all, the Daily Challenge is an easy way to earn more VC in MyCareer or the Neighbourhood. The method is also time-efficient for those that want to earn badges and gain neighborhood rep at the same time.

Check the Event Schedule to find VC-earning opportunities

NBA 2K keeps the community engaged with events throughout the NBA season, with many of the events presenting an opportunity to earn extra VC.

The community events range several themes, including "Dime Time" and "Dunk Fest." At these events, a target amount of dunks or assists is set for the community. If the goal is reached, every participant that contributes receives a VC reward, with the highest contributors getting extra VC.

It's worth keeping tabs on when the events occur in the Neighborhood each week. Being online during those times gives you a bonus opportunity to maximize your VC earning potential every week.

Play Daily Trivia to make millions of VC

The Daily Trivia is another event that can make you a 2K millionaire overnight. Every day at a set time (depending on your time zone), there will be a 2K Daily Trivia event, which is accessed through your phone in the MyCareer neighborhood.

Your objective is pretty simple: answer a question correctly and move on to the next round. If you get all of the questions right or make it to the final round, you will get a cut off the prize pool.

Daily Trivia prize pools tend to be rather lucrative, too, sometimes offering the winner over 1,000,000 VC. The question topics vary, with some being about basketball and others being related to science or history.

Succeeding in the 2K Daily Trivia mini-game is one of the few ways in NBA 2K22 to strike land heaps of VC without dedicating hours of playing time.

Located at the 2K Pier Park, "The Cages" is another unique way to earn VC in the Neighborhood. Unlike other pickup basketball games in the community, it is situated in caged 2v2 and 3v3 outdoor courts.

Additionally, trampolines are added in different areas of the court to give players an aerial boost, and games are played without fouls or the ball going out of bounds.

For the most part, this is an area where players with lower overall ratings can find success and earn more VC than other Neighborhood venues.

As a player's attributes, overall rating, and badge count doesn't matter as much in this environment, it might be easier to get extra steals and rebounds.

If you want to win in The Cage to reel-in more VC, you'll need to make the most of the environment objects, such as the trampolines. Or, you could find a squad that has the right players to fill every role (blocking, dunking, shooting) needed to succeed.

As well as it being a fun change-up from regular basketball, The Cage is the only game mode where you can perform sky-high posterized dunks on opponents or commit hard fouls without any consequence.

Play the Ante Up for risky VC rewards

Ante Up is a high-risk, high-reward VC earning method for high-level players in the MyCareer Neighbourhood.

It is a specialized court that allows players to wager their VC in an attempt to earn more. Here, you are betting on yourself and your team to win pickup matches against others in the venue.

Although this method is not recommended for beginners or casual players, the VC rewards can be rather lucrative for those with the skills and the right squad.

In the Ante Up arena, different courts offer different payouts, with the 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 courts geared towards different types of players.

If you want to see how you measure up against the competition, you could try out a few games with the lowest VC buy-ins and see if it's a feasible option for you to earn VC.

Earn VC by completing different Quests

In NBA 2K22, you'll get to make use of the new Quests feature in MyCareer, which helps you to level up and earn VC. In short, there are now more ways for you to earn VC in NBA 2K22 instead of just by playing MyCareer games.

In fact, the Quests can be further broken down into other sub-categories, which include: Career, Personal Brand, Season, City Quests, and City Map. Essentially, each of these sub-categories has its own unique feature and offers a slightly different experience so that the grind for fast VC is at least varied.

Here's what to expect from each of the Quests in NBA 2K22.

Career Quests

Under Career Quest, you can earn VC by progressing through traditional MyCareer games with your player. Along the way, you will be assigned tasks and objectives; once they are completed, you will be able to unlock rewards like VC, MVP Points, and other perks.

This is a good option if you prefer to earn VC the traditional way: by grinding through MyCareer games. In each game, you can earn from 600 to 1,000 VC, along with the bonuses for completing the objectives.

Personal Brand Quests

Personal Brand Quests allow your player to not only earn VC, but also earn MVP points in the City, and they give you the ability to unlock lucrative sponsorship deals. This part of the game is more off-court focused, as you will be tasked with completing objectives that aren't related to basketball around the City.

For example, if you signed with the Palmer Athletic Agency, you will be asked to complete fashion and music-related objectives to help to grow your brand. In the process, you'll gain more fans and unlock on-court deals for, including shoe contracts and other lucrative brand deals with major NBA sponsors, such as Gatorade, 2K, and Kia.

All in all, these Quests provide a nice contrast from playing MyCareer games and might be more suitable for those that want to focus on growing their brand while earning VC.

Season Quests

Season Quests assign objectives that don't tend to take as long as those in Personal Brand or Career Quest. However, you must complete them before the season deadline to earn a reward. Season Quest is great for those that have time to play many hours over a short period of time, but perhaps not be the best for casual players who play less than one hour per day. While these objectives may be less time-consuming, they may not be as lucrative and they do have to be completed within a fixed time window.

City Quests

City Quests are, perhaps, the most time-consuming of the bunch, but they do offer some of the best rewards. As you progress in the game, you'll find many different types of objectives, ranging from daily challenges to weekly challenges, to special meetups with NBA players.

You will have to roam around the City to unlock many different checkpoints. Bear in mind that the City map is quite big this year, so be prepared to set aside some time for commuting across the whole area. If your main goal is to earn VC by doing City Quests, it might be worth investing in a skateboard or rollerblades early on in the game to save you time, with the alternative being running on foot around the City.

Many of the tasks available in City Quests also have a shorter shelf life: several have to be completed within the day or even just a few hours. Overall, this is an excellent area to focus on if you want to explore the City as there appears to be an abundance of new objectives that pop up every week.

Strategically complete City MVP objectives

The majority of City MVP tasks are related to the amount the MVP points that you earn in MyCareer. This could be from playing MyCareer Games, Park games, or doing challenges in the different Quests mode above.

Everything that you do is accumulated here; however, a large portion of these objectives are also tied to MyCareer games. For example, you can earn 7,500 MVP points for grabbing 500 rebounds and assists in MyCareer NBA games only. Therefore, if you play more MyCareer games, you are more likely to unlock City MVP rewards.

Another part of City MVP is tied to your personal brand section. Once you reach a certain level in each department, such as by getting to Fashion Level 5, you will be rewarded with 10,000 MVP points.

Oftentimes, tasks under City MVP can be completed without you actually noticing. However, if you are closing in on unlocking something lucrative in this section (like by earning 1,000 VC for 300,000 MVP Points), you may want to strategically complete objectives that get you there faster.

Earn easy VC at the Old Gym

The Old Gym is a nice addition to the City, and a lucrative place for those that want to earn VC quickly by playing 3v3 games.

The difference between the Old Gym and other regular Park games is that there aren't any squads. As a result, you don't have to wait as long for a game to start, and you won't be matched up against overpowering squads as everyone joining the lobby is brought in at random.

In a sense, this is a good place to earn 300 to 400 VC per game – and in less than ten minutes. This is especially true if your player is good enough and has the ablity to carry two other random teammates when things get tough.

There you have it: you now know how to increase your VC earning potential in NBA 2K22 through the fastest and easiest methods as well as some of the other top VC earning methods.
